Accessibility Statement
Spine and Joint Center is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Assessing against that standard is ongoing.
Conformance status
Partially conformant. Some parts of the site do not yet fully conform. We list what we know about below rather than claiming full conformance.
What we have verified
- Colour contrast. Measured on this site on 5 October 2026: body text 11.17:1, navigation links 9.89:1, and muted text 4.83:1 against their backgrounds. WCAG 2.2 AA requires 4.5:1 for normal text, so these pass.
- Images. Every image on the pages sampled carried a text alternative; none was published without one.
- Mobile navigation. The menu on small screens opens and closes, verified on 6 October 2026.
- Headings. Unlabelled headings on our FAQ page, and a missing top-level heading on our appointment page, were corrected on 6 October 2026.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you what is not finished than imply that it is:
- The desktop “About” submenu opens when clicked. On some set-ups it does not open on hover alone. The links inside it remain reachable.
- Some pages contain empty spacer headings used for layout spacing. These can be announced by screen readers even though they carry no text, and they are being removed.
- Heading structure is still being improved on a number of service pages.
- We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party accessibility audit.
